Lonzo Ball says ‘Mamba Mentality’ made him wear Nikes instead of Big Baller Brand

During his best game of summer league, Lonzo Ball raised eyebrows when he opted to wear purple and black Nike shoes rather than his signature Big Baller Brand line. Apparently, that doesn’t matter if you’re a big baller.

Rose can create his own shot, and the Bucks don’t have many players who can do that effectively. Rose wouldn’t be the best fit schematically for spacing next to Antetokounmpo, but maybe the Bucks don’t need them to play minutes together.

At this point in his career, Rose should be someone’s sixth man who gets buckets off the bench. One of the Bucks’ biggest weaknesses last season was creating offense when Antetokounmpo sat. If Rose can step in and fill that role for them, it may be a good fit.

The Bucks don’t need a point guard because they have four capable ball handlers on their roster, including Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton. Rose doesn’t add much and won’t make them much more competitive than they’d already be in a weak Eastern Conference.

Rose is just looking for money at this point, and that’s fine. He should try to squeeze every penny out of his career that he can. The Bucks, though, aren’t the best team to pay him given their hefty payroll and lack of need at the position.

Olynyk is an interesting example. He’s a rugged defender — not necessarily a good defender, but he puts bodies on opponents. (Ask the folks he’s injured.) He Cheap Kids NBA Jerseys gets a modest share of steals and blocks, and he’s a pretty good passer and deep shooter. Miami will try to mold him into a great shooter to play behind and off Hassan Whiteside. Olynyk is not in any way a specialist: He’s a bit of a do-everything Cheap Jerseys Youth NFL center who provides more, not less, flexibility to lineups because of his shooting.

NBA free agency 2017: Paul Millsap could join the Timberwolves and create the next Western Conference powerhouse

After shaking up their roster to make a push for the playoffs, the Minnesota Timberwolves aren’t finished yet.

The Timberwolves are scheduled to meet with free agent forward Paul Millsap on Saturday, according to Basketball Insiders’ Michael Scotto. Signing the All-Star power forward could round out a significantly upgraded Minnesota starting five.

The Wolves have been the most active team since the NBA Draft. They traded Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and the pick that became Lauri Markkanen to the Bulls for Jimmy Butler and the No. 16 pick, Justin Patton. They then traded Ricky Rubio to the Jazz in a cap dump for a protected first-round pick before signing point guard Jeff Teague to a three-year, $57 million deal.

Horford was a free agent, and Teague, Korver, and Millsap were each one year away. Kent Bazemore, Carroll’s in-house budget replacement, was set to hit the market, too. In one of the weirdest offseasons in memory, Wilcox and Budenholzer decided to trade Teague (the youngest member of that 60-win core) to make way for Dennis Schroder. They lowballed Horford in free agency, paid big for Bazemore, and inexplicably signed Dwight Howard to pair with Millsap.

Horford joined the Celtics, who were in a similar spot in the Eastern hierarchy as the Hawks at the time, but on a much different arc. Bazemore and Schroder were disappointments after their paydays. Howard was as good as could be expected, but still ended up getting flipped for Marco Belinelli and the Plumlee brother on a horrible contract. Korver was traded midseason for that Cavs pick. In the process, Wilcox was Cheap Jerseys Online Free Shipping booted out and Travis Schlenk, long of the Warriors, has Cheap Jerseys Soccer China taken over the front office.
