The Salt Lake Screaming Eagles were playing the first game in franchise history and their fans got a little too excited following a touchdown.
The Screaming Eagles played host to the Nebraska Danger at Salt Lake City’s Maverik Center, but were trailing 14-0 in the first quarter.
With just under 5 minutes remaining in the first quarter, receiver Derwyn Lauderdale caught a short touchdown pass from quarterback Verlon Reed. Each of the Screaming Eagles offensive plays were called by fans through the team’s app.
Online records show Dunlap, 31, was booked into jail at 12:45 a.m. Friday and released less than three hours later. The Tennesseean reported he posted a $1,000 bond and is due in court next month.
Dunlap, who is listed at 6-foot-9, 330 pounds, grew up in Nashville and played at Auburn before the Eagles selected him in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve but spent four years mostly as a reserve lineman with Philadelphia before stepping into a larger role in San Diego.
Dunlap has been the Chargers’ primary starter at left tackle — when healthy — for the past four seasons. He was limited to seven games in 2015 due to a concussion and sprained ankle and Cheap High Quality NFL Jerseys missed four games last season with migraines and a knee injury.
He is entering the third season of a four-year, $28 million contract.
